Parish School of Religion
The Parish School of Religion (PSR) program assists parents in the religious formation of their children by providing classes for students in grades K-8 who are not currently enrolled in Catholic schools. Volunteers have committed time and talent to the program as catechists, classroom helpers, and office helpers for the entire school year. Classes are held on Sunday mornings from 9:00 a.m. – 9:50 a.m. Classes are held in the parish school classrooms. Students in 2nd grade will prepare for the Sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Reconciliation. Students in 6th grade will prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation. There are formation classes for those interested as a catechist (teachers). Everyone who participates with children in our diocese must have attended Virtus training. The coordinator oversees all aspects of the program, enrollment, and coordinates schedules and substitutions.
