The second Sunday of every month is designated for collection of items for God’s food pantry. The items collected are given to the Center of Hope. If there are specific needs, they will be listed in the bulletin. This is an opportunity for all parishioners to help those who are less fortunate.
This activity requires a food handler’s permit. Youth 12 and older are encouraged to participate. The parishioner needs to be able to spend one evening, the second Thursday of a month, at the Lord’s Diner at Central and Broadway. Time commitment is 3-4 hours.
The Lord’s Diner serves an evening meal 365 days a year. A small paid staff, assisted by more than 6,000 volunteers representing many faiths and denominations prepare and serve a hot, nutritious meal in a spirit of compassion, respect and loving service.

The Welcoming committee visits new members of the parish. They are given an informational packet about our parish and school.
Visiting the Elderly
The first Wednesday of every month a group of parishioners visit the nursing home in Haysville. The pastor says Mass for residents and the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders take turns to help serve the Mass. The Rosary is also prayed after Mass. The residents look forward to this time set aside, time just for them.
