Welcome!
Thank you for considering St. Cecilia Catholic School! Here we believe that parents are the primary educators of their children. We are privileged to work with families in nurturing their child's faith and academic excellence, while above all inviting them into a deeper relationship with Christ. Our mission—St. Cecilia Catholic School partners with families to provide a Catholic education for children to know, love, and serve God—reflects our commitment to centering all that we do around Christ and His Church. Here we value faith formation, growth in virtue, and strong community support, in a safe and welcoming environment.
We look forward to getting to know your family and supporting your child as they grow in faith, knowledge, and service.
About Our School
St. Cecilia Catholic School was established in September 1966, beginning in the basement of the church with the first three grades, under the guidance of the Sisters of St. Dominic. The parish, founded in 1956, later built a permanent school, and currently serves students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, with the present school building opening in January 1991.
Father Rick Kotrba is our Pastor, and has been the shepherd of St. Cecilia’s since 2021. Our parish includes small families, large families, married couples with no children, single persons, single parents, retirees, and the elderly. We are grateful for the support and sacrifice of our parish family that allows our school to serve the needs of the children entrusted to our care.
Our school Principal is Ms. Rebecca Kirchens, and she leads a wonderful team of teachers and staff who are dedicated to helping your children grow in love for Christ and His Church while nurturing each child's God-given gifts through academic excellence, faith formation, and service to others. We currently offer grades Kindergarten through 8th, physical education, music and fine arts classes, and opportunities for participation in sports and extracurriculars .

Stewardship
The Catholic Diocese of Wichita participates in a stewardship way of life. Stewardship is the grateful response of a Christian disciple who recognizes and receives God’s gifts and shares these gifts in the love of God and neighbor. As disciples of Christ, parishioners of St. Cecilia respond gratefully to God for all He has given us through a commitment to live the stewardship way of life.
As stewards, we recognize that we have received an outpouring of gifts from our good and loving Father. We respond to God’s gifts by giving our first fruits in:
- Spending time with God in prayer - individually, communally, and as a family
- Participation in the life and mission of the parish and community by sharing our God-given talents
- Giving of financial treasures - sacrificially, proportionally, and generously
It is through the faithful stewardship of all our parishioners that we are able to provide an excellent Catholic school. More information about parish stewardship can be found HERE.
All Catholic families who wish to enroll their child in K – 8th grade must be a registered member of the parish and must be committed to living out the Stewardship Way of Life. Our parish office will work with you to determine how you feel called to give to the parish through the gifts you have been given.
Anyone considering enrolling their child in our school must also meet with our principal, Ms. Kirchens, and our pastor, Fr. Rick Kotrba, prior to enrolling. Tuition options are available for non-Catholic families interested in enrolling at our school.
